Producer's Letter - September 2010

While the changes we’re making to ORVR represent a holistic attitude shift in our current gameplay offering within a single zone, the campaign itself won’t be changing. Players will need to unlock the zones in order and choose which zone to fight in. All zones, once contested, will begin with each Realm owning one Keep, and the purpose is to take control of the other. The purpose is for players to fight over the Battlefield Objectives, generating Resource Carriers that will travel from the battlefield objective to their Warcamp. Once the resources reach the Warcamp, or if the other side intercepts the resource, those resources will be added to their Realm total. No longer will the win condition be based on waiting out timers after a quick capture of all the zone objectives, instead it will be based on a push-and-pull of...

BioWare Mythic has summoned all former Ultima Online, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning and Dark Age of Camelot players to join the Return of the Legends Re-Enlistment Celebration, beginning today, September 28. Returning legends will receive a hero’s welcome with free game time, bonuses, and events for the former players returning to the lands of Britannia, The Old World and Camelot.

Former players will have full access to all of their characters during the re-enlistment celebration and free re-evaluation period.

- Skaven are coming: The RvR Pack will be introducing Skaven to the WAR.
  Skaven will be playable by both Realms and are not an NPC “third realm”.

Παίδες μετά από ενημέρωση του φίλου Mpoulntoza, αλλάζω την προεπιλεγμένη γλώσσα του φόρουμ μας από ελληνική σε αγγλική.
Ο λόγος είναι ότι υπάρχουν παίχτες - φίλοι διαφορετικών εθνικοτήτων που επιθυμούν να γραφτούν στο Site μας και να κουβεντιάζουν μαζί μας. Οπότε είπα να τους κανω την ζωή πιο εύκολη.

... removal of VPs for PVE and Prior Tier, which will be reallocated to Objectives, Scenarios, and Skirmish. While players who have died recently and are respawning in the warcamp will still acquire zone capture rewards, the idle defenders of the mailboxes will not. Players who wish to receive RVR rewards must engage in some level of risk to receive them.

With 1.3.6, we will be introducing a new feature, called Against All Odds, a rewards incentive program that will reward outnumbered armies within an RVR lake by offering a scaling bonus to experience, renown, and influence, up to 400% for the outnumbered realm. We think that with bonuses this high, you’ll see a lot more people willing to engage in all different types of ORVR, especially when the odds are stacked against them.

In Development: 1.3.6 career balance changes

We want to maintain the general setup of the Runepriest and Zealot Mastery paths, but we also want to address this issue. In order to do both of these, we will be adding a new ability to the Runepriest, and changing the functionality of Harbinger of Doom for the Zealot. All Runepriests will now start with an ability named Rune of Breaking, which can be toggled on and off:

While toggled off, the Runepriest is affected by the Rune of Balance. This causes all Intelligence, Magic Power, and Magic Crit stats on items to be negated, and instead converted into Willpower, Healing Power, and Healing Crit bonuses. We're currently planning on these stats converting at a 2:1 ratio - in other words, a total of +100 Intelligence from gear would instead be turned into +50 Willpower while this ability is...

 In version 1.3.5, both Contested Altdorf and Contested Inevitable City will be receiving a massive overhaul. The endgame content for the Campaign will now be 100% RvR-driven. This write-up of changes is for you, the player, to ask questions, voice concerns, or otherwise offer any feedback that you may have on the matter.

 * City sieges will now be a 24 versus 24 battle.
 * City sieges will now last a maximum of 2 hours.
 * All PVE instances within the Contested city have been disabled
 * Defenders and Invaders will both have a chance at obtaining some of the best items available in the game, including Sovereign equipment!
* As a similar direction taken with the Scenario rewards, players will be awarded for their effort at the conclusion of each stage.
